The third day of Trade Winds 2018 began with the National Digital Summit, hosted by
Systemix: The Systems Consulting, E-commerce and SMAC Club at IIFT.
The revered panel for the day consisted of Mr. Srikanth Karnakota, Country Head for Business Development, Microsoft, Mr. Suvasis Ghosh, Director, Deloitte India, Ms. Smriti Ahuja, Global HR and Learning Head, Cognizant and Mr. Sreekant Lanka, Head of Programming Account Strategy, Google India. The theme for the summit was, “How the intelligent digital mesh will transform every business layer”.
Mr. Srikanth Karnakota, while addressing the students on how AI is transforming the various verticals such as education, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, agriculture, automotive, finance, media, and communications, spoke about how after a point disruptive technologies like AI simply weave themselves into the fabric of our lives. Ms. Smriti Ahuja shared her views on the increasing gap between the consumption and creation of technology and we must work towards bridging this gap. Mr. Sreekant Lanka expressed his thoughts on the impact of device proliferation and the omnichannel mechanism of how people communicate in this digital age. Mr. Suvavis Ghosh educated the students about how disruptive technologies can help cater to the basic need of the hour which is bettering the consumer experience. We’d like to thank all the speakers for taking out the time to answer the questions that we had on the subject. The students were incredibly benefited by this interactive session.
The Summit wrapped up with the unveiling of Techtonix, the annual magazine by Systemix: The systems consulting, E-commerce and SMAC club at IIFT, that expresses the opinions of the students on latest disruptions in the field of technology.
